The guys that produce Prairie spirits are a very passionate, hard-working bunch from Minnesota. The fields and distillery are 100% owned by three families that simply love the land and cut no corners to produce the best spirits, while respecting and nurturing the environment.
Each family works up to three times longer than other farmers to grow organic certified, non-GMO corn. The techniques used are a perfect combination of new ideas and time-tested traditions.
Instead of spraying pesticides they use the flamer (literally using flames to burn down weeds), and rather than buying new machines they try to repair as much as possible. The leftover corncobs are converted into fuel and the distillers grains are returned to local farmers for use as feed. Their respect for the land is only comparable to the respect that the community around them has for them.
Completely handcrafted, single vintage and distilled to taste, their vodka, gin and cucumber vodka have won several awards, including two times double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Platinum at the SIPS awards.
