With the festive season in full swing, it’s the perfect time to whip out our cocktail shakers and attempt to impress our guests with our mixology skills. Luckily, The Real McCoy, a Bajan rum inspired by a traditional recipe from the prohibition era, have devised three easy-to-make cocktail recipes that are bound to warm you and your guests up on a cold winter’s night. So, whether you’re a mixology expert or a cocktail novice, give these cocktails a go this Christmas.
Island Coffee
A decadent, easy-to make cream and coffee based cocktail.
1 ½ OZ The Real McCoy
2 OZ fresh brewed coffee
1tsp brown cane sugar
Stir sugar and coffee to dissolve. Top with Real McCoy and whipped cream. Top with fresh ground nutmeg.
The Dogwatch
1 ½ OZ The Real McCoy 5 year
3 oz. Strong brewed coffee
1+ tsp Coconut palm sugar
Dash of chocolate bitters
½ OZ Half and Half cream
Dark Chocolate shavings
Shake The Real McCoy, coffee, bitters and sugar with scant ice. Pour into ice-packed glass and drizzle in cream. Garnish with chocolate.
The Rumhattan
2 OZ The Real McCoy 5 Year
½ OZ Sweet Vermouth
Dash of orange bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a stylish stem glass. Drop in a real maraschino cherry or two to taste.
